Welcome to Smarter Image Map by Smarter Business Solutions GmbH! We invite you to use Smarter Image Map in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. Doing so requires that you accept these terms of use.
Whenever we refer to "us", "we", "Smarter Business" or "Smarter Business Solutions", we mean the Smarter Business Solutions GmbH entity that provides Smarter Image Map .
Please read the following terms carefully so you understand your rights and obligations when using Smarter Image Map .
Product scope and permitted use
Smarter Image Map is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solution package containing exactly one web part. The web part can run on modern SharePoint pages, as a SharePoint Single Part full-page app, and as a configurable Microsoft Teams channel tab. The package does not include a Teams personal app.
An active license permits use within the purchased SharePoint scope. Depending on the selected plan, that scope covers one site collection, up to five site collections, or the complete SharePoint tenant. Every plan includes all product features; customers may create unlimited maps and areas within the licensed scope.
The customer is responsible for deploying the app only within the licensed scope, assigning appropriate SharePoint permissions, and ensuring that images, labels, tooltips and linked destinations are lawful and accessible.
Hosting, data storage and license validation
The SPFx web part runs in the customer's Microsoft 365 tenant. Images and map definitions are stored in SiteAssets/ImageMaps in the relevant SharePoint site and remain subject to that site's Microsoft 365 permissions.
For trial and license validation, our Microsoft Azure-hosted licensing service processes only the tenant URL, site-collection URL and product identifier smarterimagemap. Images, map definitions, labels, tooltips, user accounts and other SharePoint content are not transmitted to the licensing service.

Support and updates
Product support is available at support@smarterbusiness.at and through our contact form. Security, compatibility and feature updates may be delivered through Microsoft Marketplace or the SharePoint App Catalog.
1Changes to the Terms
We may update these terms whenever needed to reflect new market conditions, internal adjustments, revised payment methods, technological progress, legal requirements, or system updates. We will notify you of material changes via email sent to the address you provided. A change becomes effective as soon as we publish the revised terms on our website. By continuing to use Smarter Image Map after publication you accept the updated terms. Please review these terms regularly to stay informed.
2Fees and Payments
14-day fully functional trial
A 14-day product trial starts on first use. After it ends, navigation and editing require an active paid license; existing maps and images remain stored in SharePoint.
Purchase and subscription take place through Microsoft Marketplace. Microsoft manages the order in the purchaser's Microsoft tenant, including billing, taxes and invoice issuance. Smarter Business Solutions does not issue a separate invoice for Marketplace subscriptions. Microsoft may require processing time before an invoice appears in the billing area.
A paid subscription renews automatically for the selected billing period until it is cancelled in Microsoft Marketplace or the Microsoft 365 admin center. Cancellation timing, effective date, refunds and other billing conditions follow the Microsoft order confirmation and the Microsoft terms applicable to the purchase. We cannot cancel a Microsoft subscription purchased in the customer's tenant on the customer's behalf.
Microsoft Marketplace displays the price, currency, taxes, billing period and licensed SharePoint scope before purchase. Subscription management is available in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
3Limitations
Under no circumstances will Smarter Business Solutions GmbH, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes, without limitation, lost profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from:
- your access to or use of the service or the inability to access or use the service
- any conduct or content of third parties within the service
- any content obtained from the service
- unauthorized access to, use of, or alteration of your transmissions or content
4Disclaimer
Important:
You use the service at your own risk. The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
Smarter Business Solutions GmbH, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and licensors do not guarantee that:
- the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
- any errors or defects will be corrected
- the service is free of viruses or other harmful components
- the results of using the service will meet your requirements
5Intellectual Property
Smarter Business Solutions GmbH retains the exclusive and worldwide rights to all intellectual property related to the software, whether or not it is patentable or registered. This includes, without limitation, the source code, software protocols, interface design, concepts, methods, designs, and trademarks.
License restrictions:
The license granted under this agreement is non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable. Customers may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, upload, distribute, transfer, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise provide the software to third parties.
Any rights not expressly granted to the customer remain with Smarter Business Solutions GmbH and its third-party licensors.
6Governing Law
These terms are governed by Austrian law without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Any invalid or unenforceable provision shall be interpreted to best preserve the intent of the original wording.
