Install, connect, work

After installation you connect your SharePoint sites once – from then on, filing happens directly in Outlook.

  1. 1

    Directly from Outlook

Access your SharePoint sites and libraries without leaving Outlook – including search and navigation.

  2. 2

    Filing via drag and drop

Drag emails or individual attachments into the target library. Maintain metadata and properties as usual.

  3. 3

    Teams integration

Connect your Teams repositories and distribute important emails and documents directly to your channels.

Also for SharePoint on‑premises

Still working with SharePoint on-premises instead of Microsoft 365? Office 2 SharePoint also connects Outlook to your local environment.

You get a clear interface for your SharePoint directly in Outlook: upload emails and attachments, find documents, work with your team – without switching applications.

Note for Teams users

Already working with Microsoft Teams? Connect your Teams repositories directly in Outlook and distribute content to your channels via drag and drop.

Built-in tools or app?

When are Microsoft’s built-in tools enough?

Outlook and SharePoint work together without extra software – with manual steps in between. Office 2 SharePoint removes exactly those steps.

The built-in tools are enough for this

  • Archiving a single email now and then: Save As and manual upload are enough.
  • One attachment per week: the standard file dialog will do.

This is what Office 2 SharePoint is built for

  • Emails and attachments straight to SharePoint and Teams via drag and drop
  • SharePoint and Teams libraries embedded directly in Outlook
  • No intermediate saving, no duplicate filing
  • Proven in daily enterprise use: at the REWE Group since 2007

If the left column covers your case, you don’t need an app – you’ve already paid for the built-in tools. Office 2 SharePoint exists for everything on the right.

Purchasing & licensing

Three steps to your license

You install Office 2 SharePoint as an add-in in Outlook and buy the licenses directly from Microsoft. Here’s how it works:

  1. Install the add-in

Install Office 2 SharePoint in Microsoft Outlook – the getting-started guide walks you through installation and setup.

View the Office 2 SharePoint guide
  2. Buy licenses from Microsoft

Purchase the licenses once per user directly on Microsoft AppSource. You’ll see the price there in your local currency – including the correct taxes for your country.

  3. Activate your users

Activate the licenses for your users. Our support team is happy to help with rollout and activation.

Billed directly by Microsoft

Buying through AppSource is procurement without the procurement process: the contract runs through the Microsoft account your organization already has.

No new vendor

You buy from Microsoft – no vendor onboarding or supplier checks in your purchasing department.

Invoice from Microsoft

With the correct VAT for your country, in your local currency.

One bill

The license appears on your existing Microsoft 365 invoice – alongside your other subscriptions.

One-time purchase

You pay once per user – no recurring costs, no cancellation deadlines.

Frequently asked questions about buying

Why do we buy the licenses on AppSource but install the add-in separately?

The add-in is the software in Microsoft Outlook; the license is the proof of purchase behind it. Microsoft handles the transaction through AppSource – you receive the invoice directly from Microsoft, with the correct VAT and in your local currency.

Do we need a credit card?

Not necessarily. Payment runs through your organization’s billing profile at Microsoft – by credit card or invoice, depending on your configuration.

Who in our organization can buy?

The purchase is made in your organization’s Microsoft account – usually by someone with permission for marketplace purchases, for example a billing administrator.
