2.1 Personal data

Personal data is information about the factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person.

If you contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored for six months to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent. This includes your name and your e-mail address, which you communicate to us via the contact form. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our blog and that can not be directly associated with your person, do not fall under this. For example, these are statistics about which posts are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages on the website.

2.2 Collection, processing and use of your personal data

Privacy is very important to us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the statutory provisions of the Data Protection Regulation and the Telecommunications Act 2003 (DSGVO, TKG 2003) when collecting, processing and using your personal data. We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our services, the technical administration and our own marketing purposes.

For the purpose of contract processing, the following data is stored with us: Your correct name, address and payment details and your e-mail address so that we can confirm the order and communicate with you. The data provided by you is required to fulfill the contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures. Without this data we can not conclude the contract with you. A transfer of data to third parties does not take place, with the exception of the transmission of the credit card data to the processing bank / payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, as well as to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations.

If the purchase contract is not concluded, the data stored with us will be deleted. In the case of a contract, all data from the contractual relationship are stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years).

The data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase is also stored until the end of product liability (10 years). Data processing takes place on the basis of the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and / or lit b (necessary for fulfillment of the contract) of the GDPR.

A deletion of your personal data occurs, if above-mentioned statutory storage requirements are not violated and if you have asserted a cancellation claim, if the data for the purpose of the storage is no longer necessary or if your storage for other legal reasons is inadmissible.

2.3 Comments

When visitors write comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user-agent string (which identifies the browser) to help detect spam.

From your email address, you can create an anonymous string (called a hash) and submit it to the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service can be found here. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

2.4 Use of your data for advertising purposes

In addition to processing your data to process your purchase at Smarter Business, we also use your information to communicate with you about your orders, specific products or marketing promotions, and to recommend products or services that may interest you.

You may object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at all times or for individual measures without incurring other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A text message to the contact details referred to in point 1 (e-mail, letter, etc.) is sufficient.

2.5 Newsletter

For sending the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which means that we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have explicitly confirmed to us that we should activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification e-mail asking you to confirm that you wish to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link in this e-mail.

You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: office@smarterbusiness.at. Of course you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter. We will immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. This revocation does not affect the legality of the processing on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

Accepting cookies is not a requirement for visiting our websites.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Basically, one distinguishes 2 different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser and temporary / permanent cookies that are stored for a long period or unlimited on your disk. This storage helps us to customize our websites and offers for you, and makes it easier for you to use them, for example by saving certain input from you so that you do not have to repeat it all the time.

Which cookies does Smarter Business use?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive after the end of the browser session (hence session cookies). Session cookies are needed, for example, to offer you the shopping cart feature across multiple pages. In addition, we also use cookies that remain with you on the hard drive. On another visit, it is automatically recognized that you have already visited us and what inputs and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifetime 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the specified time. In particular, these cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. For example, these files may allow you to see information that is specific to your interests displayed on the page. The sole purpose of these cookies is to tailor our offer to your needs and to make browsing with us as comfortable as possible.

What kind of data is stored in the cookies?

The cookies used by Smarter Business do not store any personal information. The cookies we use are therefore not assigned to a specific person and therefore not to you. When the cookie is activated, it will be assigned an identification number. An assignment of your personal data to this identification number is not possible at any time and will not be carried out. Your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be associated with you will never be used. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymous information, for example, which pages of our shop were visited, which products were viewed, etc.

How can I prevent the storage of cookies?

In your browser settings you can set that a storage of cookies is accepted only if you agree. If you only want to accept the Smarter Business cookies but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can choose the setting in your browser to block third-party cookies.

In the menu bar of your web browser you will usually see how you can reject new cookies and turn off already received ones via the help function.

For shared computers that are set to accept cookies and flash cookies, we encourage you to completely unsubscribe after you finish.

With each access to the pages of Smarter Business usage data is transmitted via the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The datasets stored in this case contain the following data: date and time of the request, name of the accessed page, IP address, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to the web pages), the amount of data transferred, and product and version information of the used browser.

The IP addresses of the users will be deleted or anonymized after the end of use. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the details of personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionately large amount of time, cost and manpower.

We evaluate these log file records anonymously in order to further improve our website and make it more user-friendly, to find and fix errors faster and to control server capacities. For example, it can be understood at what time the use of the website is particularly popular and provide adequate data volume to ensure a pleasant user experience. In addition, by analyzing the log files, we can more quickly detect and resolve any errors.

To constantly improve and optimize our offer, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this we use the services of Google Analytics.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of the use of our offer by Google.
